Kuwala Christian Girls School (KCGS) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of all personal information that we collect and maintain in the course of carrying on our charity. This privacy notice describes how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information when we do business with you. a) Client file and personal information
The personal information collected about you for the purposes identified in this notice is held in our record may include your name, phone number and email address when you sign up for our newsletters.
b) Providing your information to Kuwala Christian Girls School
When you complete the newsletter sign-in form, you are providing personal information to Kuwala Christian Girls School.
Our vendor Release Media collects this personal information, holds it in their secure database, and we use it when we need to contact you. Your information is never sold to third-party firms.
c) Third parties and service providers
Kuwala Christian Girls School provides a third party link to its service provider Canada Helps Org. for donating. We ensure by contractual means that the transferred personal information is used only for the purposes for which the service provider or supplier is retained. In the event our service providers or suppliers are located outside of Canada, the service providers or suppliers will be bound by, and personal information may be disclosed following the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service providers or suppliers are located.
d) Withdrawing your consent
If you wish to withdraw your consent to this information sharing or discuss the implications of such a withdrawal, please contact us through one of the means listed at the end of this notice, and you will be taken off the email list according to CASL legislation.
e) Location of your record
Your record file is kept in electronic primarily at the Release Media’s server database in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
f) Right to access and rectify personal information
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) and, where applicable, similar provincial privacy legislation, you are entitled through a written request to a copy of the personal information contained in your record. You may verify this personal information and request that any inaccurate information be corrected. Please contact us through one of the means listed at the end of this notice for any such requests.

i) How we use your donation to support the campus in Malawi
When you make a donation using the third-party link Canadahelps.org, your donation goes to Kuwala Christian Girls School to help fund specific projects. Funds are used in Malawi to provide education, food, security, health care and more to our students. Charitable tax receipts are issued to donors for all their gift purchases. When our donations exceed what is needed for a particular purpose or the items are no longer needed, funds will be redirected to where they are needed most.
